The main research building is a 3,000 square feet frame structure with a large porch, which provides protection from the Arizona sun. It is composed of two offices, a reception/library room, a microbiology lab, a microscopy wet lab (which houses the specimen preparation, microtomy, slide preparation and EM specimen preparation stations), an electron microscope room with Hitachi SEM and AEI TEM, a separate pump room, a workshop for fabrication and repair of equipment, a visiting scientist's quarters, and a small kitchenette.
